With over 20 years of experience and more than 200 successful transactions closed, Dana has established herself as a leading multifamily investment specialist in Northeast Los Angeles, with deep expertise in neighborhoods including Silver Lake, Echo Park, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights, Glassell Park, Atwater Village, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz, and the greater Los Angeles area.

 

Dana is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) where she majored in Sociology and Public Policy. She began her career in real estate in 2005 as an assistant to a top female broker at one of the most well known Commercial real estate companies in So Cal.  She has worked at multiple Commercial real estate firms and is excited to continue her journey with Compass Commercial.

 

Early on, Dana witnessed the determination, strategy, and skills it takes to be an industry leader. Dana has been a consistent top producer and market specialist for 20 years and earned the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation after the housing market crash of 2008, at a time when most realtors were leaving the industry.

She consistently achieves platinum producer status, represents a large share of her target market, and has built a successful brand within a formerly overlooked area – a market that is now one of the most sought-after areas in Los Angeles. Because she has been a consistent top agent in Northeast Los Angeles for so long, she has many repeat and referral clients who continue to buy and sell with her and appreciate the level of integrity, enthusiasm, and sincerity that she brings to any transaction. She is a strong negotiator, analytical, and extremely well versed with contracts, deal structuring, and generating top dollar on both turnkey and value add deals. Dana has experience selling all types of properties, including foreclosures, short sales, fixers, properties with code violations and those in REAP, seller carry deals, bankruptcies, 1031 exchanges, trust sales, probates, portfolio sales, and more.  She has extensive experience working with tenants and knowledge of landlord tenant laws as well as excellent connections with attorneys, CPAs, lenders, and all types of vendors in the multifamily and commercial community.

Even with a successful career in commercial real estate, Dana considers her biggest and most important role to be that of mother and wife. Her husband, Charlie Coronado is also a successful realtor and specializes in residential sales in Northeast Los Angeles as well. Together they lead The Coronado Real Estate Group, a team of over 6 people.

Dana and Charlie share a son, Joaquin, who is 11 years old, and twins Carlos and Damien, who are 23 (Dana's stepsons). Carlos and Damien recently graduated college (CSUN and UCSD) and already have their real estate licenses and are joining the family business.

Dana’s greatest challenge - and biggest reward - has been navigating motherhood and career since the birth of Joaquin, while constantly striving to achieve more for herself, her family and her clients every day. Dana is passionate about mentoring young women and stays active with her sorority, Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc, a Latina sorority that she was the President of while at UCLA. She also enjoys mentoring other young real estate professionals, supporting budding entrepreneurs, and volunteering and supporting charities that help women and children. She is also a supporter of the Dream Center and Homeboy Industries, her favorite local organizations.
