Chinatown

Chinatown is culturally significant Central Los Angeles neighborhood.  Surrounded by Elysian Park, Lincoln Heights, DTLA, and Echo Park: Chinatown is at the heart of everything. 

Since the area is served by the Gold Line of the city’s Metro Rail, along with being right off both the I-110 and US-101 freeways, accessibility could not be easier.  Known as a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, Chinatown boats festive shopping and dining experiences unlike any other in Los Angeles.

Asian-fusion eateries, boutique art galleries, and specialty grocery stores line the predominantly Chinese themed streets.  On said streets, one cannot help but recognize various locations that have been used in Hollywood films. 

For reference, Rush Hour, Gangster Squad, and I Love You, Man are just some of the notable movies to be filmed within Chinatown’s illustrious backdrops.  Continuing to add to the cultural significance of the neighborhood, Chinatown holds many events that give an insight into the close-knit community. 

The Chinese New Year Parade, Lantern Festival, and Firecracker Run and Fun Walk are but a few exciting events that bring Chinatown to life.
